Accommodation | Zambia | Tafika Camp

Tafika Camp is situated adjacent to the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.  The camp is remote, ideal for those who really want to get away from it all.  Located on the banks of the Luangwa River, it offers a very relaxing and peaceful base to enjoy walking safaris and game drives.  You are unlikely to see other vehicles whilst game viewing and there is a great variety of wildlife to see here.  It is usual to enjoy good sightings of leopard, lion, buffalo, elephant, and zebra, as well as Cooksons Wildebeest and Thornicroft Giraffe both of which are unique to this area.

As you might expect from Zambia, there is also a huge variety of birdlife here.  The chance to experience a thrilling micro light flight is usually available; viewing game from the air provides a unique and memorable experience for any guest. There is also the opportunity to visit the nearby village and school that the camp helps to support.

There are 5 spacious chalets that can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.  These are built with local materials and have en-suite facilities, including an open air shower, enabling you to enjoy the view day or night!  Shaded from the hot noon-day sun by giant Leadwood Trees, there are plenty of quiet spots to sit and watch activity on the river, read, or just close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the bush. The food is excellent and utilises fresh fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden.
