Mutemwa Lodge lies hidden in thick riverine forest overlooking a totally wild and uninhabited stretch of the Zambezi River in Western Zambia, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience one of the last true wilderness areas in Southern Africa. Mutemwa Lodge is situated approximately 250 km upstream from Victoria Falls on the western bank of the Zambezi River in Western Zambia. The Lodge can accommodate 12 guests in six comfortably appointed en-suite tents. Each safari tent is positioned on an elevated deck, ensuring stunning views of the Zambezi River. The central area of the thatched Lodge consists of a well-stocked bar, indoor dining area and curio shop. Most meals are enjoyed around the huge campfire in the boma, or on the sand banks of the Zambezi River. A swimming pool provides welcome relief from the midday sun. Mutemwa Lodge offering a variety of activities such as fishing, birding, canoeing, sunset cruises on the Zambezi River, cultural visits, guided walks and day trips to the Ngonye Falls where a highlight is swimming in the natural rock whirl pool. Trips to the Sioma Ngwezi National Park can also be arranged upon request.
