Accommodation | Zambia | Zambezi Sun Hotel

The Zambezi Sun Hotel, near the lush banks of one of the greatest rivers in Mother Africa, is a 3-star favourite for fun-loving adventurers.  This ethnic paradise is the most exciting place to enjoy everything that Victoria Falls has to offer, where there's simply something for everybody.  The eclectic architecture, inspired by Zambian tradition, echoes the amazing diversity of the African wilderness, offering guests the experience of being at the heart of this vast and mysterious continent.

The hotel has the feel of centuries old walled city with open, organic building in earthy colours and rambling clusters of rooms.  All 212 en-suite guests rooms are open and airy and decorated with a hand-crafted fusion of Zambian designs,  providing you with and atmosphere that's bright, fun and welcoming.  All rooms are air-conditioned, with satellite television, a mini safe, telephone, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities.  There is also convenient access to ice machines and nearby vending machines, offering a variety of drinks and snacks.  All rooms spill outwards into the natural African bush or face inwards onto a vast, cool, landscaped pool, which is an irresistible oasis on hot summer days.  From private, shaded balconies, you can welcome the early morning sun while making plans for yet another adventure filled day.  All rooms have spacious bathrooms, offering the luxury of a separate bath and shower.  The accommodation has been designed with singles, couples and families in mind, offering guests a perfect choice of holiday lodgings.  Thirty-nine rooms have queen-size beds and sleeper couches, with the remaining 167 offering either two double beds, a queen-size bed ot two separate single beds.  There are also two rooms with paraplegic facilities.  The four suites offer guests even more in terms of luxury and space.

Outside activities are centred around the spacious pool area.  Here, you are invited to submerge yourself in the cool, sparkling waters, sip colourful iced cocktails under the leafy Acacia trees and soak up the intoxicating ambience of this truly remarkable place.  For the hungry, there is an alfresco grill located alongside the entertainment area at the pool, which is an ideal location for light, poolside lunches.  An indoor buffet restaurant overlooking the pool serves breakfast and dinner.  A quick walk across the lobby is all it takes to plan a day of adrenaline-pumping activity.  The Falls Activity Centre is your ticket to microlight flights over the Falls, white water rafting and a variety of heart-stopping activities including leaping headlong off bridges and cliffs.  The Zambezi Sun offers sun, space, wildlife, endless activities, comfortable and affordable accommodation, good food, entertainment and of course, the Victoria Falls themselves.  It's a place that once visited, will call you back again and again.  A hairstylist is available, while manicures, pedicures and massages can be arranged in the privacy of your own room or around the pool.

As the African sun sinks behind the rolling hills, sending ripples og gold and amber across the river waters, hippo and Fish eagles can be heard calling out into the approaching darkness.  Then its time to start preparing for a truly memorable night full of fun, romance and dancing to the sounds of live entertainment.  Whether it's a candlelit dinner for two with the promise of fine cuisine, a lively gathering of friends at the pool bar, an evening of dazzling African entertainment, or the thrill of winning at the resort's on-site slot casino, your memories of the Zambezi Sun will remain long after you've returned home.
