The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa is located on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River at the majestic Victoria Falls in Zambia, Southern Africa. 

David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa consists of 77 rooms, all en-suite, of which 5 are suites and 2 rooms accommodate the disabled comfortably. Most rooms look out over the Mighty Zambezi and a leisurely sun downer can be enjoyed from your private balcony. The rooms Room features include:

  • Colour, remote control televisions with access to satellite channels
  • Radio, alarm clocks and hairdryers
  • 24 hour room service, wake-up calls and a laundry service are provided
  • Mini bar and Coffee / Tea station
  • Telephones, Internet & Email and Air Conditioning
  • Separate bath and shower


The deck area downstairs on the river and around the pool offers a true gastronomic experience. A relaxed and casual meeting place, where guests are encouraged to sit back and watch the magnificent African sunset while sipping cocktails and nibbling on local offerings. ituated in the main lodge, Kalai promises contemporary meals in a traditional setting. Offerings range from succulent and traditional delicacies and mouth watering afro-arabian fusion dishes. The style of cuisine offered here is fresh flavoured, aromatic and healthy where guests are presented with an exciting interactive buffet by friendly and attentive chefs.

Lavishly decked out with every thought to a guest’s personal comfort, the Lady Livingstone is a one hundred and forty four seater, three-decker river cruiser designed to accommodate groups and individuals. The lower deck accommodates 92 people, middle deck accommodates 40 people and the upper exclusive deck accommodates 12 people.  Dean, the owner of African Bundu Safaris named this boat - and thus won a 3-night stay at this luxury lodge!

A combination of activities, such as game drives, helicopter flights over Victoria Falls, Zambezi River cruises, white water rafting, canoe safari’s, Bungi jumping, lion encounters and elephant back safari’s guarantee guests a spectacular safari experience. These activities should be booked in advance or you can take a chance and book them on arrival if there is still space available.

The flight to Livingstone was good - no problems there and the falls were very nice, just not much water at the moment, but we have seen it in full flood before - good to see it from the Zimbabwe side too.
